"It came out of nowhere. There I was, sitting on a park bench while watching over a couple of rug rats. My hair was a mess and that day I decided to skip the shower. Who would see me anyway? At 14-years-old, I was insecure and scared of anyone older than me.
All of the sudden, this man walked up to man. He seemed like he was at least 20 years-old, when in fact, he was probably 16 or 17. He had short brown hair and gorgeous green eyes. Without saying hello, he said, "Did it hurt?" I looked around to make sure he was talking to me. No one else was in the park. I shyly asked, "Did what hurt?" Looking deep into my eyes, he said, "When you feel from heaven." A million thoughts were racing through my mind, but I didn't know what to say. He continued to look at me. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, he asked me if I wanted to go for a drive with him. I told him that I was not supposed to go anywhere with strangers. I got up and walked over to where the kids were playing. Without looking back, I left the park. Although I was scared, that day boosted my self confidence and I felt like a whole new person. I felt like a woman." (Megan Day-Eyler)
