DEFORESTATION — yes, it exist. People the earth for thousands of years, primarily to clear land for crops or livestock.
ILLEGAL MINING — yes, it exist. Illegal mining can be a subsistence activity, as if the case with artisanal mining, or it can belong to large scale organized crime.
FLASH FLOODS — yes, it exist. A flashflood is a rapid flooding of low lying-areas: washes, river, dry lakes, and depressions. It may be caused by heavy rain associated with a severe thunderstorm, hurricane, tropical storm, or meltwater, from ice or snow flowing over ice sheets or snowfields.
CORAL REEF DEGRADATION — yes, it exist. Without corals, reef degrade and vanish within years. At present, coral reefs are facing multiple stresses such as pollution, overfishing, and overall the ongoing climate change comsequently raising sea water temperatures and causing coral bleaching worldwide.
OIL SPILLS — yes, it exist. Oil spills may originate in natural or anthropologic causes. Natural causes such as oil seeps from the bottom of oceans which enters the marine environment, thus oil exist in many environments and may be naturally spilled due to various factors. (Including, climatic conditions, disturbance, etc.)
SOIL EROSION — Yes, it exist. Soil erosion is not an environmental issue; it also cause huge losses to the economy. One study estimated global economic losses from soil erosion to be around $8 billion, due to reduced sool fertility, decreased crops yield, and increased water usage.
POLLUTION — Yes, it exist. Pollution is the introduction of harmful materials into the environment. These harmful materials are called pollutants. Pollutants can be natural, such as volcanic ashes, they can also be created by human activity, such as trash or runoff produce by the factories.
