The fundamental laws are Ohm’s Law (along with the i-v equations for capacitor and inductor) and Kirchhoff’s Laws. We applied Ohm’s Law a few times already for series and parallel resistors, the voltage divider, and simplifying a resistor network.
Now we add Kirchhoff’s Current Law and Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law to our box of tricks and solve a circuit.
