The ages of rahul and haroon are in the ratio 3:5. Seven years later the sum of their ages will be 62 years . What are their present ages?

Let the age of Rahul be 3X and Haroon be 5X.
After seven years age of Rahul = ( 3X + 7 )
And,
After seven years age of Haroon = ( 5X + 7 ).
According to question,
Sum of age's of Rahul's and Haroon after 7 years = 62
3X + 7 + 5X + 7 = 62
8X + 14 = 62
8X = 48
X = 48 /8 = 6
Age of Rahul = 3X = 3 × 6 = 18 years
And,
Age of Haroon = 5X = 5 × 6 = 30 years.
