1.Stay at the restaurant entrance
2.Approach and open the door and give gestures of welcome to the guest, look at each one, greet them, with a smile and mention their names as much as possible.
3.Introduce the name of the establishment with a light bow and check if they have reservation.
4.If there is no available table; tactfully inform the guests and advise them to wait at the lounge. Graciously look at the host as you say I'm sorry sir/ mam but we are fully booked at the moment, do you mind waiting at the lounge and I'll call you once a table would be available"
5.If the guest has a reservation make sure his table is prepared in advance. Tell the host " we have prepared a nice table for your party Mr/ Mrs This way please. . with hands outstretch , show the way to the table and say “ This way please” or May I suggest a table for you?
6.Lead the guests towards the table. Walk a little ahead of them when escorting them to their table. Endorse them to the captain or waiter and assist them in getting seated.( if no waiter is available)
7.Offer the guest a chair to encourage them to be seated Assist when sitting by pulling out and pushing back the chair gently (Ladies First)
8.Identify the host and confirm if they are comfortable with the selected seat/s and table/s. Ask if table is enough for the group Ask if temperature is suitable for them. Adjust to any of the guest preference. Check satisfaction.
9.Introduce yourself and present the menu. The menu should be presented facing the guest and it must be opened.
