Let's do some calculations. a. Calculate the surface areas of the rectangle and of the square.
formula:
1. Square: length = L=10 cm
A=LxW
width = W = 10 cm
= 10 cm x 10 cm = 100 cm²
2. Rectangle: length=L= 25 cm
formula: A = LxW
width=W= 30 cm
= 25 cm x 30 cm = 750 cm²
b. Calculate the surface areas of the rhombus and the parallelogram.
1. Rhombus: base = 2 cm height = 2 cm
formula:
A = base x height
= 2 cm x 2 cm = 4cm²
2. Parallelogram: base = Scmn height = 3 cm
formula:
A = base x height
=5 cm x 3 cm = 15cm²
