1. Back then, beauty was determined by how genuine a person is, how natural they act. Compared to now, where the overusage of cosmetics and deceit is what we consider beauty. As you can see, the aforementioned shows a drastic change to how we perceive someone or something as beautiful. Concealment of the truth and deception are widespread, making people see them as these beautiful beings, however in reality they are not what they purport to be.
2. William Shakespeare wrote the poem Sonnet 127 to describe how different we see something as beautiful now than before, to which he evidently did a good job at. The usage of the rhyme scheme 'alternate rhyme' helps the structure of the poem as well as emphasizing the lines to the readers. Literary devices also served as a foundation of the poem what with Shakespeare using it properly, becoming more cohesive. All these made the poem suited as a sonnet.
