II. Performance Task:
Directions: Consider the topic “Corona Virus or Covid-19 Prevention" or you may think of other topics related
to this health issue and then write a three-paragraph persuasive article convincing your friends and classmates to
agree with your position. Use the tips below in writing an effective persuasive piece.
State your position in the introduction. Let your readers know what side of an issue you are taking. Briefly
state your main reasons, which you will explain more fully in the body of your writing.
In the body, state your arguments supporting your position. Provide clear reasons, evidences, examples or
facts to convince your readers that your position is the correct one. Be sure your supporting details are relevant
to your position. Organize your supporting details in order of importance. Begin with the least important and
end with the most important., or do the reverse, moving from most to least important.
In the conclusion, briefly summarize your strongest evidence. Restate your position in a positive, convincing
manner. Leave your audience with more to think about or include a call to action in which you urge the reader
to do something​
