if you were given a chance to become an athlete, particularly a runner, what would you do to become good and successful in this field?

Answer: Athletes and sports competitors are not required to have a certain degree of education, but many are recruited by colleges early in their career paths to become professional athletes. To become an athlete or a sports competitor, it takes years of practice and experience. Athletes must learn the laws of the game and develop their talents while playing in high school, collegiate athletics, or club teams throughout their younger years; some even take private lessons or attend sporting camps.
Athleticism, focus, decision-making abilities, dedication, eye-hand coordination, stamina, and the ability to work well in a team are all important attributes. Superior athletic talent and deep understanding of a chosen sport are the most important qualities for becoming a paid athlete or sports competitor.
Athletes and sports competitors often train, exercise, and maintain physical and mental stamina to develop and improve their athletic skills. They follow the strategy and tactics of their teammates, coaches, and sports personnel. They frequently evaluate their individual or team performances following a game or sporting event in order to identify their own strengths and flaws, as well as those of their opponents.
Athlete status entails more than just participation in a professional athletic event. Most athletes practice under the supervision of trainers and coaches for the majority of their time. At all levels, competition is fierce, and job stability is never guaranteed. When competing at the professional level, most athletes practice throughout the year, including during the off season, to maintain top physical condition, keep their form, and maintain or develop game methods; there is very little rest.
