Two men start from two towns 10 km apart and walk towards each other. If the distance between them after 80 mins is 2 km if one man walks at 3km/hr. How fast does the other man walks

Since they are walking towards each other, their combined speed = (3+x)km/h

The total distance traveled by the two = 10-2=8km

Time taken = 80 minutes = 80/60 = 4/3 hours

Time = Distance/Speed = 8 /(3+x) = 4/3 hours

3+x = 8 x 3/4 = 6
x = 6-3 = 3

So, the other man is moving at 3km/h
