Monera:- It Belongs to the group of Prokaryotic (the organisms which have only dna in their cell,nucleus is absent in their cell) eg- lactobacilli etc... Protista:- It belongs to the group of Eukaryotic (the organisms which have nucleus in there cell) eg- paramoecium etc.

Kingdom Monera includes ONLY prokaryotic organisms. e.g.Cyanobacteria [Blue Green Algae] Kingdom Protista includes unicellular eukaryotic organisms.e.g, Amoeba, Paramocium, Plasmodium, Euglena etc. These kingdoms were made by Robert Whittaker in 1969. Initially the organism were classified in 4 kingdoms only. The 5th kingdom i.e Kingdom Fungi was included later in 1973.
