Earth's magnetic field shields us from solar wind and helps hold onto atmosphere and water. Where do these invisible protector come from? b. plate tectonics c. metal core. a. Aurora borealis d. all of the above
The inner core of our earth, where the metal core is found, produces gravitational waves and creates what's called the magnetic field.
Although according to Chris Phillips, a retired lecturer, the magnetic field does not take into account the Solar Wind. If we think of the moving charged particles ‘blowing’ through our planet then a supplementary source of electricity arises. Electric current generates magnetic fields so maybe there is an additional source for our ‘invisible protector'.
