Can you teach me how to find the median of a grouped data?
I need you to create a grouped frequency distribution table that is given on the data then have a COMPLETE solution and explanation.
I have high standards to answers because I want to learn that's why this question is worth 100 pòints.
If it is complete and I understand it, I would even give the Brainiest crown.
Good Luck

Answer (sagot) :
Step - 1, group the values in ascending/descending order.
The values given (IN ASCENDING ORDER) are - 50000, 55000, 59000, 62000, 65000, 67000, 69000, 72000, 75000, 77000, 78000, 80000, 85000, 85000, 86000, 88000, 91000, 94000, 100000
Number of terms are 19. Therefore, N is odd.
Step - 2 :
Remember:
Now, since n is odd, use this:
Therefore, the tenth term of the series:
50000, 55000, 59000, 62000, 65000, 67000, 69000, 72000, 75000, 77000, 78000, 80000, 85000, 85000, 86000, 88000, 91000, 94000, 100000
77000 is the median.
Just remember, n is the number of term in the series.
And table is in the attachment:
The formula for median is:
L + [ (N/2 – F) / f ]h
According to table:
Here there are no class intervals so we stop here.
And we dont have to use the formula for this :D.
=>77000 IS THE ANSWER.
