Can someone please explain in which cases sin changes to cos, tan changes to cot? Please help

Listen , if we have to solve que tan18° tan72 ° . ok , according to the rule (90-thita ) so in this que we have to use cot on the place of tan.
Now see , que is tan18° tan72° then we can tan (90-72°) at the place of tan 18° . so so tan (90-72°) change into cot 72° .
so, cot 72° tan 72°
so , we can write cot 72° = 1/ tan 72° then 1/ tan72° × tan 72° =1 is answer
