air being passed into lime water through pichkari and through our exhaled air what will be the diff in both obsevationsplease help me i have observed the second one as the sol turns milky due to exhaled air is containing of CO2 but what about that pichkari one
Answers & Comments
• Our exhaled air which is out from our mouth contains carbon di oxide and when it is passed through lime water the lime water turns milky
• Carbon di oxide which is given out from our mouth reacts with lime and forms calcium hydroxide
• This causes the lime water to turn milky and this solution is insoluble and it turns into milky solution
• In the first one no changes can be observed because pichkari contains very less amount of carbon di oxide than our mouth
