All organs or rather cells in our body needs oxygen to function properly (cellular respiration) especially brain cells within our brain since all activities and movements within our body are controlled by the brain. Blood vessels specifically arteries carry oxygen and distributes it all throughout the body, if there is a clot within the passageway of blood which carries oxygen to the brain, oxygen won't be delivered to the cells unabling the cells to work functionally since they lack energy to do so, this causes the brain cells to die which is unlike skin cells, brain cells do not have such healing capabilities.
