1. In Physics, how does
the multiple colors of light can be best explained when a white light strikes a prism?
2. in Chemistry. why do you think electrons get excited when it is hit by a photon (light)?
3. In Biology, what do you
think is the main function of light to living organisms?

Answer:
1. In between are the wavelengths of all the other colors of light. A prism separates visible light into its different colors. As light passes through the prism, it slows and bends, but different wavelengths bend at different angles. This separates light into different wavelengths, forming a rainbow of colors
2. When an electron is hit by a photon of light, it absorbs the quanta of energy the photon was carrying and moves to a higher energy state. One way of thinking about this higher energy state is to imagine that the electron is now moving faster, (it has just been "hit" by a rapidly moving photon)
3.The overall function of light-dependent reactions is to convert solar energy into chemical energy in the form of NADPH and ATP. This chemical energy supports the light-independent reactions and fuels the assembly of sugar molecules
