1. Before the Cell Theory was widely accepted, people believed in the Greek scientist Aristotle's concept of spontaneous generation. According to Aristotle, life would seemingly appear out of thin air when the right conditions were met. For example, if a piece of meat was left outdoors for a few days, what do you think would appear? How would this support Aristotle's belief in the spontaneous generation of organisms?​
