Matter has different properties because their particles have different properties too. This simple activity will help us understand how different are the particles in solids, liquide, and gases.
Materials:
glass
bowl
marbles (or any small round object or small round stone)
Procedure:
1. Place the marbles inside a glass. Draw your observation about the way the marbles are arranged.
2. Swird the glass. Describe the movement of the marbles inside the glass.
3. Place the marble in a bowl. Draw the arrangement of the marbles.
4. Swirl the bowl. Describe the movement of the marbles inside the bowl,
5. Let the marbles roll randomly on the floor.
