You can protect these areas by
1. Throwing garbage properly and by practicing
the 5Rs of waste management,
2. Disposing toxic products properly. Improper
waste disposal may pollute rivers, estuaries,
and intertidal zones
3. Leaving coastal areas clean. Always pick up
trash and dispose it
4. Not disturbing or keeping animals found along
the shoreline
5. Avoid throwing of trash out to the sea when
riding on a boat or ship
6. Planting more trees, especially mangroves​
