In the first place, as a person giving information to the people, it is our job to make sure that what we are feeding the people is an accurate information. As part of the listeners, I will talk to the reporter privately and provide the reporter the link of the correct information so that she/he will have time to arrange and somewhat study the topic again. It is important to extend your knowledge especially, if you are knowledgeable about the topic. Since it is a reporting, there would be people listening and if they don't have any idea about the topic and were feed wrong information, it will cause a misunderstanding. The teacher for sure, will understand and let the reporter have time to try and correct the information given again. Matters like this should be corrected privately because if not careful, you might make the reporter uncomfortable that instead of trying again with the correct information, she/he might loose the confidence to try again. Helping each other is also a way to create good relationship with other people.
