Lord, hear our prayer for the children who are being born into this world of strife and bloodshed, for the women and mothers who are suffering unnecessarily. Lord, hear our prayer for all those who have been driven into unemployment and desire to return to work, for all those who are struggling to maintain their families. Lord, hear our prayer for the troops who are misled into believing that their bullets would bring peace, and for those who feel compelled to conscientiously protest to military instructions. May the dawn of a really human civilization based on love and peace arrive soon.
