Once upon a time, there was a flock of doves commanded by their king that flew in quest of food. They had flown a long distance and were exhausted one day. They were encouraged to fly a little further by the dove king. The little dove flew faster and discovered some rice strewn beneath a banyan tree. As a result, all of the doves landed and began eating.
They were all caught when a net collapsed over them. They noticed a hunter approaching with a large club. The doves flailed their wings wildly in an attempt to escape, but to no avail. The monarch came up with a brilliant idea. He instructed all of the doves to fly up together, carrying the net. He claimed that unity was a source of power.
Each dove took a piece of the net with them as they soared away, dragging the net behind them. The hunter was taken aback and looked up. He tried to catch up with them, but they were soaring too far over the hills and valleys for him to catch up with them. They flew to a hill near a temple city, where they discovered a mouse who could assist them. He was the dove king's most devoted companion.
The mouse went into hiding as he heard the loud commotion of their approach. The mouse was delighted to meet the dove king, who gently called out to him. They had been caught in a trap, and the dove king required the mouse's help to nibble at the net with his teeth and rescue them.
The mouse agreed and stated that he would first set the king free. The king insisted on freeing his subjects first, then himself. The mouse recognised the king's feelings and acted in accordance with his wishes. He began to cut the net, and one by one, all of the doves, including the dove king, were set free.
They all thanked the mouse and flew away in one, their might unifying them.
The moral of the story is that when people work together, they are stronger.
