Mangroves provide valuable protection for communities at risk from sea-level rises and severe weather events caused by climate change.Coastal forests help the fight against global warming by removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, most of which is stored within the plant. When mangrove tree roots, branches and leaves die they are usually covered by soil, which is then submerged under tidal water, slowing the breakdown of materials and boosting carbon storage.
Rainforests are natural air filters. They store and filter excess carbon and other pollutants from the atmosphere and release oxygen through photosynthesis. Without rainforests, our planet is unable to mitigate excess greenhouse gas emissions, which destabilizes the Earth's climate.
We should protect our environment like mangroves, swamps, rivers, lakes etc. to take care of our planet earth. When we abuse/pollute the waters it can become very unhealthy and hard to purify. The more we pollute it the more toxic the waters can become, the sicker the people will get. When the water gets polluted, it can become very contagious and can harm both animals and humans, which we do not want to happen, right? So, we should start taking better care of our waters...not just water but our whole environment. When our mangroves become dirty it can kill the animals living there like crabs, and for coral reefs, when we do dynamite fishing it greatly increases danger in the waters for the fish and it can also affect their habitats. As we know the coral reefs are amazing tourist spots so we should take care of them to make the place more popular! For tropical rainforests we should take care of them because most of the animals live there, it is considered their habitat, just like us humans we want a peaceful and happy life. We should also treat animals how we want to be treated, we don’t want to be harmed, right? See we should have equality to the environment, it’s not just us humans living here animals due to it can also greatly affect their lives when we don’t take care of their own habitat. Because if there are more endangered animals in the world we might as well have just wiped out all of them, animals are an important part of the environment and without them we wouldn’t be able to eat the foods we love or even do the things we normally do. The more we pollute and harm the environment the more we realize that we have greatly affected our home and our planet we live on! The healthier the better right! As an organism that lives on this earth we should take proper care of the place we live in because we all know we don’t want our family to get hurt due to environmental problems, because if we are part of the population that hurts and pollutes then it is partly our faults we or our family gets sick due to the dirty air, dirty water, we intake. Rainforests are greatly decreasing due to illegal logging, coral reefs are being destroyed due to dynamite fishing, mangroves are becoming dry because of global warming! We need to stop this and take care of our earth! These habitats that are slowly dying need to be saved, mangroves help with erosion, coral reefs help with protecting the living animals in the ocean, rainforests filter the air we inhale! There are many ways to take care of the planet we live on, we should help! We can do clean-up drives in our barangay, we can recycle, give old clothing or toys to charity and many more! Save our planet, reduce the toxins and help preserve our environment to many more generations!
