and political reforms in the Spanish government, he asked for equal treatment of the Filipino people, and a representative in the Spanish cortes.
Hence, if Rizal is here with us today, he would probably lambaste government officials for their incompetence in their handling of this pandemic. He would eagerly call for reforms and reconsiderations of government's plans of action in combating Covid19. Not only because their plan seems not to work, but because as the cases skyrocketed every single day, it appears as if the government really has no plans at all.
Furthermore, since Rizal puts emphasis on the role of Education (as oppose to a revolution) as a means towards the attainment of Freedom from colonialism, he will probably campaign for proper information dissemination among the citizens about how to keep themsleves safe from the virus. The key to this is to understand how the virus works.
With regards to the govenment officials, who took advantage of the pandemic and misused goverenment funds and allegedly engaged in corruption, Rizal has a few words for you:
