Human rights are basic rights that belong to all of us simply because we are human. They embody key values in our society such as fairness, dignity, equality and respect. ...Most importantly, these rights give us power and enable uls to speak up and to challenge poor treatment from a public authority.

Social equality seeks to make everyone equal, equity, on the other hand, seeks to address the underlying and systemic differences of opportunity and access to social resources. This is more important because we aren't all the same, some people need more help than others.

Gender equality is first a matter of social justice, allowing equal access to rights, resources and opportunities. But it also makes our societies richer and more secure. In other words, gender equality is a condition of development, and a matter of sustainable peace and security.

Participatory development seeks to give the poor a part in initiatives and projects that are designed by outside organizations in the hopes that these projects will be more sustainable and successful by involving local stakeholders in the projects goals.

In other words, The sustainable development agenda must be rooted in principles of human rights, human security, equality and social justice so that nobody is left behind.
