Why does the bible say the wicked does not know the way of the righteous. Cause if the righteous can cause the wicked to be righteous then how do you explain it

According to verse 18 the righteous are those who serve God and the wicked are those who do not serve him. Mixing the wicked with the righteous would influence them and thus they also become wicked, this could be the same if we say the righteous would influence the wicked and thus make them righteous.
