why do we stand for the Gospel reading while to other readings, like the First and Second reading, we do not?

We stand for the Gospel for the same reason we stand when we sing the national anthem or pledge allegiance to the flag: out of respect. All of the Bible is the sacred word of God, but not all of the Bible is equally important. The Gospel is the Good News of the redemption for which most of the Bible is a preparation.
