Why do the roofs of houses gets lifted up and not slip sideways during hurricane?

The reason is same as the last question you asked. In the sky, monstrous winds blow which reduce air pressure to extremely low levels. Inside a house, the air pressure remains normal. When the difference in the pressures is high enough, the low pressure outside sucks the roof out of the house.
