I have learned with my mistakes that I would never take time for granted again, instead I would use it to let go. To create space for things I really want and what matters most.
There are 5 things that I have taught myself in a hard way.
Let go off taking things personally.
How people behave with you is their issue and it's not a defect with you, remember that. If people are behaving badly with you that's their problem not yours.
2. Let go off what other people think
People are going to have opinion. Society is going to have stereotypes. Don't listen to them. You don't need anyone's validation. You are unique the way you are. Don't get influenced by what others think.
There is a rule in business that I have heard. If you are coming up with something new, below is the probability of outcomes of reactions from crowd.
10% of people will hate it
80% of people will be indifferent
10% of people will be your fans
Even if you are not having that 10% of fans it is fine. It is okay. Your efforts should be your focus.
3. Let go off trying to be something you are not
Everyone of us is unique. The skill and goodness one has not necessarily will be in others. It is fine the way you are. Accept yourself. Motivate yourself only to change to a point that is good for your soul. Don't change to imitate others or fit into the crowd. Love your flaws!
4. Let go off the need to be perfect
Don't lose uniqueness to gain perfection. Perfect body. Perfect face. Perfect career. This is all built by society.
Don't juggle all the things at a go to achieve perfection. You will make a mess of yourself out of the juggle. Don't let anyone make you feel bad about you! Perfection is anyways boring!
5. Let go off Not Yet!
We procrastinate things a lot due to our lifestyle and responsibilities. There are so many wishes that we have but they are still stuck in the wish list. (I am myself very much bad at it and it is still a big challenge but I am trying hard to fix it)
At the end all that matters is You! So the factor to bring this change is also You!
