Which of the following statements concerning particles in a liquid is true? a. The particles are in ordered arrangement b. The particles have no motion c. The particles slide over one another d. The particles contract to fit the size of the container
The particles of a liquid are close together (no regular arrangement tho), always moving (this proves that letter b. is wrong), and can slide past one another. I also think the last choice is false since liquid molecules do not decrease just to fit the size of a container. If the container is small and you poured a larger amount of liquid, the liquid would definitely spill.
