Force -

They may cause motion; they may also slow, stop, or change the direction of motion of an object that is already moving. Since force cause changes in the speed or direction of an object, we can say that forces cause changes in velocity.

Heavy objects are harder to move than light ones because they have more inertia. Inertia also makes it harder to stop heavy things once they are moving.

Object already in motion is undergoing rolling or sliding friction , but an object at rest is undergoing static friction and we all know that it takes more effort for Static friction as compared to rolling or sliding friction.

Why do you think it is the easiest to move?

Static friction(the friction which keeps the object at rest) is slightly more than sliding friction.So,it is easier to keep an object moving which is already in motion than to move it from rest.

A reference point is important in determining motion because in order to say that something is moving, you need to have something stationary to compare it to. You can then define the velocity of a particle as the rate of change of the displacement of the particle from the reference point.
