What is the most important message you would like to share with future teenagers who did not experience the COVID 19 pandemic particularly on how the ongoing health crises has changed you and the world?
COVID-19, worldwide pandemic with millions of deaths, sufferings, hunger, and sickness is like an adamantine of chains. Unbreakable. Originated in China yet created a world devastation. A disease that seems to be incurable, death is the endgame, as if one was destined to be. Broken hearts, grief and darkness is all what I see, what I feel. Stress, anxiety, and depression creeps me in, drowns me, and drags me down. Years have passed, I slowly rise. Step-by-step, little-by-little light is coming through me, through us, the world. Realization hits my head like a brick. Through that time, I only see what others see, I only think like others think. But then, as Steve Jobs quoted, "You cannot look forward the future, you can only look backwards" I feel it. I already knew that COVID-19 may seem as a downside but as to how I see it now, it was an important piece of the creation of life. It was a wonderful occurrence. If I just had to see the bright side of it back then, I would've had been a better person. One is able to realize the importance of life, one is able to give what he has for others, one goes through loss, one experiences fear, one was stuck in his own thoughts and one was able to move forward. These are what we go through that time. The world was in a deep sorrow but then light came through. We suffer but we rise as one. Up until this day, people should never forget that we are able to make it.
