Monosaccharides the simple sugars with a General chemical formula C6 h12 o6 these need no digestion and a straight away absorbed into the body these three types of simple sugars glucose, Fructose and galactose disaccharides are double sugars which have a General chemical formula C12 h22 o11 these are also also 3 and required digestion they are sucrose, maltose,lactose.

Monosaccharides can't be dissociated into simple sugar but diasaccharides can be dissociated into two monosaccharides example ==glucose is a monosaccharides and sucrose is a diasaccharides
