What is the 4th dimension? How would a 4th dimensional creature look into our 3d Dimensional world? What would the 4th dimension look like? Are there more dimensions?
Basically, the key idea of this theory is that the dimensions are co-existent within each other. The 4th dimension is the dimension next to ours which is the 3rd dimension. For example, we have a line (which is a 1st dimensional object). We take that line and connect that with three more lines--so that the lines are perpendicular to each other and the opposite sides are all parallel--which would then create a square (which is a 2nd dimensional object). If we continue connecting lines--so that the lines are perpendicular to each other and the opposite sides are all parallel--we would create a cube (which is a 3rd dimensional object). If we continue this manner, we would create a tesseract, which is a cube in 4th dimensional space. It goes on and on until the 5th dimension, 6th dimension, 71st dimension, and so on and so forth. In essence, 1st dimensional objects are used to make up the 2nd dimension, 2nd dimensional objects make up the 3rd dimension, 3rd dimensional objects make up the 4th dimension, and it continues in which we can assume an infinity of dimensions.
How would a 4th dimensional creature look into our 3d Dimensional world?
Simply put, a 4th dimensional creature would be able to perceive things in our 3rd dimensional world for how it really is. To understand this, we must first take a sphere as an example. In our dimension, which is the 3rd dimension, we perceive depth through light. For example, when a sphere is moving towards you, it appears as if it's growing, but when the sphere is moving away from you, it appears as if it is shrinking. Through that, we know whether an object is moving or not because it differs in size while it moves (like how objects from afar would appear small, and objects close to you would look big). Now what would happen if the sphere grows the same speed as it is going farther away from you? If that happens, it would appear to your eyes as if the sphere is not moving. To further understand this, let's say for example, you are a 1 dimensional object. You can only perceive things in 1d. Now I, from the 3rd dimension, would show you a rubber band, and while I move it away from you, I stretch it so that the rubber band grows in length with the same speed as it is moving away from you. Now in your eyes, in 1-dimensional eyes, it would appear as if nothing is happening to the rubber band, it would appear as if it is not moving. Me, however, from the 3rd dimension, I see things the way it actually is, I know that the rubber band is actually moving because I can perceive things in 3d in a way that a 1d object cannot perceive. Same thing with 4d creatures. 4d creatures would see things the way they really are, which creatures from the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st dimension cannot understand. It is the same with the other dimensions, which further supports our theory that the dimensions co-exist within each other and gives us the idea that you can perceive things in dimensions lower than you.
What would the 4th dimension look like?
As I stated earlier, we in the 3rd dimension cannot be able to perceive things in the 4th dimension like how 1d and 2d objects cannot be able to perceive things in our dimension. We can only assume and theorize about the 4th dimension and the dimensions beyond it because we are limited to our dimension and it is theoretically impossible to picture what a 4d world would look like.
Sorry for the long explanation, I hope it was sufficient.
