Namstae..!
Endocrine glands are those which don't have specific ducts for them..
-their secretion gets diffused into surrounding blood circulation to reach specific organs to initiate a particular metabolic change
-their secretions are called as hormones.
hormones are non-nutrient chemicals which act as intercellular messengers.
Few important endocrine glands and their functions..
-Thyroid:regulate metabolic rate of the body and thus maintain BMR
-Hypothalamus(Supreme commander) it releases several neurohormones like
Gonadotropin releasing hormone(GnRH),Thyrotropin releasing hormone(TRH) etc
HOPE THIS HELPS YOU.
