Research suggests that depression doesn't spring from simply having too much or too little of certain brain chemicals. Rather, there are many possible causes of depression, including faulty mood regulation by the brain, genetic vulnerability, stressful life events, medications, and medical problems.
Depression presents itself as realism regarding the rottenness of the world in general and the rottenness of your life in a particular thing. But the realism is merely a mask for depression’s actual essence, which is an overwhelming estrangement from humanity. The more persuaded you are of your unique access to the rottenness, the more afraid you become of engaging with the world; and the less you engage with the world, the more perfidiously happy-faced the rest of humanity seems for continuing to fight with it.
Depression can only be treated and cured with one's own effort. When you start ignoring the root of your depression and start chasing your dream badly, you will start getting rid of your depression. It is the one and only perfect way to get rid of the so called depression.
