When acid is very strong and base is weak then after reaction the salt will be acidic, such as- NH4NO౩. Also when acid is weak acidic and base is strong then after reaction salt will be basic such as- Na2CO3.
If both the acids and bases are weak/strong then the salt will be neutral.
Example- NH4OH(weak base) + HNO3(strong
acid)
———> NH4NO3(acidic salt) + H2O
NaOH(strong base) + H2CO3(weak acid)
———> Na2CO3(basic salt) + H2O
