1. They slide past each other and don't have a regular shape like solids do. This is what happens when the ice cube
2. Tearing a paper is a physical change because when the paper is torn only the appearance of paper is changed.
3.When you squeeze it, the solid part changes it shape, but stays the same size. The gas in the holes gets smaller, so the entire sponge takes up less space.
