To further understand the two commonly used figures of speech, you are going to compose your own poem. Follow the instructions below on how to write your poem.

Write a poem based on the four seasons (Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall) using similes and metaphors.

Use simile and metaphor in describing each season.

Compose a three-line, four stanza poem, with one stanza for each season.

Draw a background to enhance and make your poem creative.

Write your poem on a clean sheet of bond paper.
