When there will be high resistivity then the resistance will also be more then the current will be resisted more and less current will flow.

High resistivity decreases the ability of a metal to flow current.. the flow of electron in the metal gets reduced..
Moreover , the resistivity depends on the cross - sectional area of a metal... if its thick enough the the resistivity decreases. And vice versa
