What do you mean by fluid friction? How can fluid friction be reduced?
➢The frictional force exerted by the fluids is called fluid friction.
➢It is also called drag.
☆friction can be reduced by the use of lubricants or by polishing surfaces.
☆by using ball bearings and by streamlining the bodies of the objects which move in the fluids.
➢You can observe fluid friction when u travel in a boat.
➢In science the common name for gases and liquids is 'fluids' .
➢So, we can say that fluids exert force of friction on objects in motion through them.
➢Frictional force on an object in a fluid depends on its speed with respect to fluid,on the shape of the object and on the nature of the fluid.
➢vehicles are designed to have shapes which reduce fluid friction.
⍟[ Note - see the attachment now ]⍟
➢It is obvious that when objects move through fluids.(bird and aeroplane)
➢They have to overcome the friction acting on them.
➢So the efforts are made to minimize friction.
➢Objects are given special shapes.
