As a 1st year med student, I'm aiming to be a Dean's Lister and in order to do that, you have to work extra hard especially if you're not naturally gifted to be smart.
Cutaway all distractions that impede you from being efficient and managing your time wisely. Think about it this way, if you spent the time you spent playing mobile games or scrolling through social media and used it to study, you'd be set for class all the time.
A helpful practice I do is called a dopamine detox. this is essentially ridding yourself of the fun, distracting things you do like less social media (less because you can't avoid using it since we're still in the pandemic zone) and no mobile games.
Train yourself to do the hard work especially when you don't feel like it.
