Type I- characterized by having two pronounced seasons – wet and dry. Dry from November to April and wet for the rest of the year with maximum rain period from June to September. The places that experience this type bof climate are Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, Mindoro, Negros, Panay and Western Palawan.
Type II – No dry season with a very pronounced rainfall from December to February and wet during the rest of the year. Catanduanes, Sorsogon, Eastern Albay, Eastern and Northern Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte and nEastern Mindanao belong to this type of climate.
Type III- Seasons are not very pronounced. Relatively dry from December to February or March to April. Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Viscaya, Eastern Negros, Cebu, Northern Mindanao and Eastern Palawan have this type of climate.
Type IV- Rainfall is more or less evenly distributed throughout the year. Batanes, Northeastern Luzon, Western Camarines Sur, Albay, Eastern Mindoro, Marinduque, Bohol and Western Leyte belong to this type
