The following important hypotheses can be proposed based on an review of scientific findings presented in the relevant literature and relating to the effect of electric fields and/or electromagnetic radiation on living organisms.
1. The existing literature on the protection of electric fields and/or electromagnetic radiation is dispersed and vague.
2. The effect of electromagnetic pollution on living organisms is unknown. (3)There are significant gaps in current knowledge about the impact of electromagnetic pollution, especially in the case of animal experiments.
As a result of the above evidence, the field of scientific research concerning the effect of electromagnetic radiation on living organisms is becoming increasingly common among scientists all over the world.
One of the most difficult issues in this form of study is the removal of secondary radiation sources; thus, all epidemiological studies should be accompanied by experimental ones. More specifically, considering the scope of available study studies, no conclusive answers to the issue of whether electromagnetic radiation has a harmful effect on living organisms have been given. Also, the opposite question of whether electric fields and/or electromagnetic radiation would be helpful to living organisms under some circumstances is yet to be answered.
It should be noted that all of the related model organisms have characteristics that are useful in conducting biological research. These features include similarity to other living species, which enables model organisms to be considered substitutes for other organisms, including humans.
So far, research on the effect of electromagnetic fields and/or electromagnetic radiation on living organisms has been limited in scope, making it impossible to formulate any relationships between electromagnetic field properties and field influence. Despite a scarcity of observational evidence, some intriguing theories have been suggested in the literature, according to which electromagnetic fields influence the pineal gland and the hormone melatonin, interacting with its hormonal processes and causing sleep disturbances, low mood, decreased attention, exhaustion, and the creation of some cancers. These unsupported theories highlight the role of the pineal gland in studies of similar pathways of the adverse effects of electric fields and/or electromagnetic radiation presented in magazines, textbooks, and also on the Internet. However, based on existing evidence, these statements are unjustified and necessitate systematic scientific verification.
