EXPLANATION:
1. To measure liquid ingredients, pour it into your liquid measuring cup and eyeball it. To measure correctly be sure to do it at eye-level — this will ensure you have an accurate or close-to-perfect measurement.
2. Brown sugar is measured a little differently. Pack brown sugar firmly into a dry measuring cup with a back of a spoon until it is level with the rim of the cup. Brown sugar should hold the shape of the measuring cup when it is turned out.
3. Most sticks of butter have measurements on the wrapper of the stick. Each line denotes 1 tablespoon of butter. If you have a stick and either threw the wrapper away or the wrapper doesn't have markings, you can still measure tablespoons. To do this, take a ruler or tape measure and measure the length of the stick.
