Trace the path of message to and from the brain using the diagram below.
21. Sensory neurons
22. Spinal cord
23. Brain
24. Motor neurons
25. Effector organs
The stimuli-response is just a simple pathway. The message or the stimuli from the external environment detected by the sense organs, will send the impulse to the sensory neurons and will encode the message. From the sensory neurons, it will travel by to the ascending track through the spinal cord. The brain will now interpret the message and will send a feedback through the motor neurons. The motor neurons will deliver the feedback to the effector organsthat will decode the message and initiate the response.
Trace the path of message to and from the brain using the diagram below
ANSWERS
Firstly, the information (stimuli) from the environment in a form of electrical signals coming from our senses like the skin, travel into the path of sensory nerves where 21. sensory neurons connect the information to neurons along the 22. Spinal cord. This signal will then be received by the thalamus in the 23.Brainto be processed, then carried out of central nervous system by the 24. motor neurons (known also as efferent neurons) to be translated as triggering response or movement of muscles in 25. effector organsafter decoding the feedback.
