I think we can go a while with creative and innovative solutions, but at some point we can run down on some irreplaceable resources and or the cost to replicate such may be too high. There is a limit to how much crude oil we can access, oxygen from trees/plants, ozone, dying but needed species like bees (pollination of plants), coal etc. We produce too much CO2 and by reducing trees we cut down on O2 production. Can we rely on nuclear energy? That’s what we thought in the 50’s, but it leaves spent cores that cannot be disposed of safely with 100 rear radiation lethality.
