The similarities between the poem “ There will Come Soft” by the poet Sarah Tesdale and the poem “Fire and Ice” by Robert Frost indicate that man is self-destructive.
When we compare the two poems, it becomes clear that the destruction of the world is a central theme. A similarity in these poems is therefore the theme.
A common characteristic in these two poems is rhyme . For example, in the poem “Fire and Ice “Some say the world will end in fire,” it states, “But if it had to perish twice,”. This is an example of rhyme. In the poem”There Will Come Soft Rains” it states “And not one will know of the war, not one Will care at last when it is done.” This is a rhyme. So, their common characteristics include: rhyme, imagery, them. By comparing the two poems we learn some poems have similar themes.
The differences in the poems”Fire and Ice” and “There Will Come Soft Rains” have differences by imagery in kind of tone and ________________________.However, both these poets both care and respect ____________________ based on their shared attributes and themes, which helps us to understand about_______________.
