the national museum of natural history is an architectural marvel that has retained its original neoclassical facade out front but houses a spacious airy expertly-designed array of galleries and interactive learning spaces within. the museum's structure is built around an atrium whose focal point is a massive six-story-high functional sculpture modelled after dna called the tree of life. the tree of life is covered by a glass and aluminum roof that callls to mind a verdant forest canopy. the dna helix that serves as its runk houses a glass-walled elevator that gives passenges a 360-degree view of the interior. ramps spreading out like branches from this trunk enable visitors to move easily from one floor to another. the overall design for the museum is also an eco-friendly one. throughout the day the courtyard mostly counts on ambient light filtering throught he glass panes in the roof the patterns on the floor shifting with the passage of hours. whcih pattern of development does he paragraph exemplify
